FOR LEADERSHIP TEAMS & ORGANIZATIONS

What happens when an entire leadership team begins to see differently?

Every leadership team develops patterns. Ways of making decisions, communicating, responding to uncertainty, and protecting what matters. Over time, these patterns become so familiar that the team may no longer recognize them.

What becomes possible when a team begins to see those patterns together?

THE INVISIBLE PATTERNS

Anchor 3

The way a team operates can become invisible to the people operating within it.

A meeting where everyone agrees, but nothing changes.  A decision that keeps getting resisted.  A commitment that no one feels safe making.  A transformation that introduces new process but somehow produces the same old behaviors

When this happens, it is tempting to add more structure.  Another meeting.  More metrics.  A better dashboard.  Another layer of approval.

Sometimes those mechanisms are necessary.  But sometimes the more important question is whether the team can recognize the assumptions and behaviors creating the problem in the first place.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Individual awareness changes how a leader shows up.  Collective awareness changes what a team can see together.

WHAT IS YOURS SYSTEM CREATING

Anchor 2

Become more aware of the system you are creating together.

What isn't being said?

What story keeps
repeating?

What are we
reinforcing?

A TENSION WORTH EXAMINING

How do we move faster without losing what matters?

Organizations are being asked to adapt more quickly while acting safely, responsibly, and ethically.  Leaders must experiment and make decisions under certainty, while protecting trust, people and the consequences of their choices.

Some controls are essential.  Others are inherited habits that make us feel safe and protected.  Familiarity and safety are not necessarily the same things.

Collective awareness helps a team recognize the difference and have better conversations about what each situation actually requires.

More intentional decisions

Distinguish genuine risk from habitual caution and reversible decisions from those requiring deeper dilligence.

Great adaptability

Notice when past success is shaping the response to a fundamentally different environment.

More honest conversations

Create space to surface assumptions, challenge with respect, and hear concerns before they harden into resistance.

Stronger shared accountability

Recognize the patterns leaders collective reinforce, then practice different behaviors together.

WHERE TO START

There isn't one format for developing collective awareness

A provocative, research-informed perspective on the conditioned patterns shaping leadership and organizational change - designed to open new questions

Keynotes

01 / SPARK A CONVERSATION

Immersive sessions combining practical frameworks, guided exercises, discussion and application to the challenges a leadership team is facing.

Workshops

02 / CREATE SHARED AWARENESS

A tailored journey that allows leaders to explore, practice, reflect, and reinforce new ways of seeing and responding over time.

Multi-session expereinces

03 /. DEVELOP THE CAPABILITY

Join selected leadership meetings, observe real dynamics, coach leaders, and help the team recognize patterns as they emerge in everyday work,

Embedded leadership partnership

04 / WORK INSIDE THE SYSTEM

THE DISTINCTION

The goal isn't simply to help a team agree on a new way of working.  It is to help them recognize the patterns that keep pulling them back to the old one.

THE EXPERIENCE

Learn it.  Practice it.  Notice it in real life.

WHY I CREATED THIS

Chris Schmelzer
Founder

I've spent years watching teams get caught in patterns they couldn't quite see.

After more than two decades working with organizations navigating change, I became increasingly interested in what was happening beneath the best plans: the assumptions leaders were making, the behaviors they were repeating, and the ways teams unknowingly reinforced both.

My work brings together that experience with the study of psychology, neuroscience, nervous-system respones, and awareness - helping leaders see the systems they are operating within, including their own role in shaping them.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What might this look like for your team?

Do we need to commit to a multi-month program?

No.  Engagements can range from a keynote or a single workshop to a multi-session experience or embedded partnership.  We can work together to design what is best for your current teams environment.

Is this a standard leadership training curriculum?

No.  The work combines teaching, practical frameworks, exercises, and application, but the specific design is shaped by the team and the patterns it needs to explore.

How does this helps us move quickly while acting responsibly?

We explore how to distinguish real risk from habitual caution, recognize the effects of urgency on judgement, and make space for appropriate ethical and safety considerations.

Can Anicca be part of the experience?

Yes, where appropriate.  Anicca helps make patterns in conversations more visible for reflection and understanding.  Its use should follow applicable consent requirements, security requirements and organizational policies.

AN INVITATION

What patterns might your leadership team be ready to see?

If you are curious about what becomes possible when leaders begin to collectively recognize the system they are creating together, I'd welcome a conversation about your and the work ahead.
